Once each year, in the mountaintops of West Virginia, artists and music lovers from all over the nation gather to camp out and jam out at the All Good Music Festival in Masontown, W.Va.

Last year on July 1, a state policy prohibited smoking in university buildings with the rare exception of specified areas in the residential halls. The smoking policy was then addressed again on January 1. The new law banned smoking in all buildings owned, occupied or leased by the state; this included resident halls.

Harris Pastides was unanimously elected by the Board of Trustees on July 11 to become the university's 28th president, according to a university news release.
