New tennis club underway at ETSU

ETSU junior Kristen Russell played tennis in high school but found once she got to college there were not enough chances for people to play if it's not an NCAA-governed function. So, Russell has decided to start a traveling tennis team for ETSU players of all levels.

ETSU men's soccer falls to Greensboro

The ETSU men's soccer team fell to UNC Greensboro at the Elon Classic Friday afternoon at Rudd Field in Elon, N.C., 3-1. The Bucs (2-2) held the Spartans scoreless in the first half, but Matt Strine put UNC Greensboro (1-3) on the board in the 50th minute as he scored off of a Sven Picton pass to give the Spartans a 1-0 lead.

Rotich cruises his way to the crown in Charlotte

If there is one word to describe Kenneth Rotich's (Nairobi, Kenya) ETSU cross country career thus far, it would be consistent. On Saturday, the Kenyan sensation kept the rhythm going, as he cruised his way to victory at Charlotte's Bojangles Invitational, marking his third collegiate win with the Bucs.

ETSU men's golf struggles on final day, drops to 12th place

After two strong rounds to open the 2008-09 season, the ETSU men's golf team found plenty of adversity during Sunday's third and final round in the Carpet Capital Collegiate at the Farm Golf Club. The 14th-ranked Buccaneers­ - who had entered the day just three strokes out of the lead - fired the second highest team score of the third round, posting an 18-over 306 to drop from second place to a final standing of 12th in the 18-team field.
