Fact check fiasco

Dear Editor,
Let me start by saying King Henry VIII of England had six wives. Just remember - divorced, beheaded, died, divorced, beheaded, survived.
A minimal amount of research would have been good before writing an article on this subject because this was not the only mistake.?
Anne Boleyn was not married before her marriage to Henry VIII.
And she probably would have added that she is also known because she was the first wife that Henry beheaded.
I don't think that the author really should have said "From what I know," in a movie review (March 20 issue) in a college newspaper because it seems apparent that she knows very close to nothing on the subject.
I mean really, a simple Google search would have avoided this whole mess.
It's fluff, this seems like that paper I put off until the morning it was due, but maybe with a little less substance.

Editor's note: In the March 20 edition, the East Tennessean incorrectly stated that Henry VIII had eight wives, when he in fact had six. We also incorrectly stated that Anne Boleyn was married once before Henry VIII, when in fact the king was her first husband. We apologize for the mistake.
