Jeffers and Students of American Liberty have a number of ambitious goals for this spring.
"Currently, we're purchasing bulk orders of durable pocket Constitutions for giveaway this year," Jeffers says. "We are also working on programs and multimedia content for grade school all the way to college level." Education is the key to their agenda.
As active as he is, Jeffers feels like he has to shout over the noise. He feels creating the 30-member Students of American Liberty will help cut through the distractions. "Mostly I dislike the fact an individual is forced to become a part of a collective to have a voice."
Along with sponsoring Justin Raimondo's lecture, the Students of American Liberty will be actively representing ETSU nationally. "Several of our members will be attending CPAC (Conservative Political Action Conference) at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C., at the end of February." This annual event has special seminars for college students to meet and network.
Jeffers sees himself as a different kind of patriot. "My duty as an American is to the Republic and her people. My duty as an American is not to any president, party or to the status quo."
